I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Alabama. I am also certified in Manual Lymph Drainage (Vodder Technique) and Complete Decongestive Therapy.
I am a USA Citizen. I was born in Pisco, a beautiful city located on the southern coast of Peru. I entered medical school at the age of 15, and became a doctor, a profession in which I worked until 2019, when I moved to the USA thanks to John who returned to his original home.
In Peru, I worked in the public and private sectors as a doctor. Also, I worked with the military population and as a business owner. I gave attention and healthcare to people of all ages and conditions. I was certified with a Masters Degree in Occupational Health, and I specialized in Emergency Medicine.
As the USA does not recognize nor allow me to practice medicine from my country of origin, I certified as a CNA to be able to work. After that, I decided to follow a Massage Therapy career, because I have trained all my life to attend and help people, and also because of my manual skills.
I believe I can improve and conserve the health of my clients. My massage therapist practices are according to laws and regulations, and I will not give you false expectations, since Massage Therapists cannot prescribe, diagnose, nor give medical treatments. You will find professionalism and quality of care as my strengths. I prefer to practice following science and evidence on massage therapy. I update and improve my techniques every day.
I attended classes at Blue Cliff Career College in Mobile, AL and passed the MBlex test as soon as I was allowed to take it. Also, I passed the course of Manual Lymph Drainage and Complete Decongestive Therapy before I finished classes, and I will look for another certification that will improve my skills and attention as a massage therapist.
In addition, I am bilingual (Spanish and English). As a hobby, I collect art, I am opal cutter and collector of gemstones. Also, I recently published a book about opals: "Opal Maker book, Gallery of Opals: Before and After."
